COOKING TIME Empty INDIAN FOODS

Post  terry g. Fri Feb 06, 2009 7:00 am

Here's the story ,introduce ko muna mga Bossing ko,the lady is Jewish-phsychiatrist/therapists,the husband ,plastic surgeon -Argentinian - Lebanese,na tumira sa atin sa Phil. at nag aral sa San Beda(Dr.& Mrs Beraka),family name sounds familiar ,right? Middle name ni Mother ko ,Baracca, nagseek sila ng assylum noon .Anyway ,imaginin nyo kung paanong di ako mabubuang sa pagluluto, the Dr. is a vegetarian ,lahat na yata na klase ng vegetable stew na luto ko na ,at nadownload na ang mga nasesearch ko sa internet .But rewarding naman pag napuri the next day.So the other day sabi ni Mrs. here's an Indian cookbook Terry ,choose w/c ever you think is easy .Mahilig sila sa okra so napili ko yun. Pero ito ang maganda, the next day sabi ni Mrs.,"I LoVE it TERRY,it was really good, dont worry I'm gonna buy you a spice grinder".Good LORD,akala ko that's it na ,simula pa lang pala ng maraming Indian food cooking. Did I like it? Nope,I'm not into that.I enjoy cooking ,everyday is a learning process,I'm in heaven pag nasa kitchen ,yun bang bigyan mo ako ng cookbook and I'll cook ,patikmin mo ako at alam ko kung anong lahok, gano'n!Kanina Italian cooking naman ,kasi nga vegetarian, ang pasta sauce ko -cherry at plum tomatoes, fresh ha ,plus all kinds of herbs, oregano, thyme ,sage ,basil, rosemary yun gustong gusto ko,Amethyst -ang sarap ,ang nagpasarap, red pepper flakes at sandamakmak na olve oil ,need I say more.

( ano kayang meryenda mamaya? ) Laughing

COOKING TIME Empty saging kag iba pa

BANANA BREAD
ING.:
3 bananas[mashed well]
2 c flour
3/4c sugar
1/4t salt
3/4 t baking soda
1t vanilla extract
1-1/4c roughly chopped walnuts [roasted]
8oz[1c]plain yogurt
2-eggs slightly beaten
3/4 c butter softened at rm. temp.
You know what's next, right, bake for 45 to 60 mins,or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.Do you also know,na if you if you want to make chicken parmesan[cutlets or nuggets] para sa mga bata, ibabad mo muna ang chicken for an hr. or more sa yogurt sa fridge ha,at saka mo iroll sa bread crumbs ,then grated parmesan cheese, either bake or fry in oil, taste really good ,healthy pa.I used to cook for families w/ toddlers before ,eh alam mo na masyado silang health conscious, kaya marami silang idea.Back to banana bread, sori halo - halo tuloy, hahanapin ko pa yung isang recipe ko ,pero ,I warn you ,the best yun pero ang ing. sobra sa dami ,the process ,grabe .Okey , have fun in the kitchen.
